When it came down to the signs it all originated from a certain picture that was shown to the very few that was able to beat Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition on the hardest difficulty, known as Heaven Or Hell, with the words ‘Congratulations! Thank you for playing! See you next Devil May Cry!!’ There is a chance that we are looking too deeply into something that could mean absolutely nothing and they were really just talking about DmC: Devil May Cry, but this scene was only added to the special edition which was released a year after.
However fans got convinced even more that there was indeed a new Devil May Cry being produced after seeing a photo featuring Johnny Yong Bosch posing with Reuben Langdon. These two are the most popular voice and definitely not forgetting motion actors who are both very important since Johnny is known for doing the voice of Nero along with Reuben being able to bring Dante to life. It wasn’t just your average picture where they were posing for the sake of a selfie that would certainly send the fan base going crazy, it was selfie that featured them wearing motion capturing technology meaning either two things. This includes them working together for a completely non-related game or in fact they are preparing scenes for Devil May Cry 5. The picture has been removed for reasons unknown, it shouldn’t make you think any differently because according to independent sources who still say that DMC is still in development at this current point of time.
Going back to the previous point about the backlash of the Devil May Cry series with the latest addition known as DmC: Devil May Cry, which hit the shelves in 2013 but unfortunately disappointed most of their fan base after seeing the new and improved Dante. The improvements included a new hairstyle given to Dante which was very different compared to his normal scene look since it was much shorter and tidier. You are probably thinking ‘It’s just a hairstyle it isn’t important,’ but that’s where it is important since this brings the whole character together specifically for Dante and since they had also changed the colour this made it very eye-catching for the player.
But on the other hand, the majority of everyone normally judges someone by their appearance even before talking to them. This could be from walking down the street and you notice a stranger walking the opposite way or meeting someone for the first time. Appearances are very important to how we behave towards everyday people so changing a character’s appearance will cause opinions to change of such character. Take Dante when he had his pure white hair it instantly made him someone that you would not want to reckon with, while the new hairstyle made Dante look more like a teenager that had a bit of an attitude problem.
I guess time will tell if this is all just rumours or Capcom has decided to make Devil May Cry 5.
