To help those gamers out, Square Enix has released a free benchmark tool to help assess PC performance – and playable viability – by displaying sample scenarios and characters during a six-minute test. The tool will also assist in optimizing systems well before the game’s arrival.
After the test, it will produce a score (noted in the link) to help determine if your system can withstand the grandeur of FFXV on PC.
Bear in mind that the benchmark is NOT a demo of the game.
The game will be 4K, 8K, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos compatible, and requires a graphics card supporting DirectX11 on a 64-bit Windows 7/8.1/10 as a minimum requirement at most. Check the NVIDIA website for more details on system compatibility.
FFXV is available now for pre-order. The game will come complete with all the DLC’s found on PS4 and Xbox One, along with additional events, expansions, quests, and mod support (in the future).
